Established to benefit a student who has completed Accounting 1 and Business Law 1 with a grade of “A.”

Ageton-Pittenger Perpetual Scholarship

The former students of Aura Lee Ageton-Pittenger established this scholarship in her memory. It will benefit a student with outstanding academic merit.

Anatomy Scholarship

This scholarship is offered by the LAVC Biology Department and will benefit a student who has completed Anatomy 1 at LAVC.

Associated Student Union Scholarship 1

The applicant must be currently enrolled at Los Angeles Valley College and must have a GPA between 2.5 and 3.4. The student must be enrolled in at least 6 units for the Spring Semester. Two $250 scholarships will be awarded.

Associated Student Union Scholarship 2

The applicant must be currently enrolled at Los Angeles Valley College and have a GPA of 3.5 or greater. The student must be enrolled in 12 units in the Spring Semester and also be a paid member of ASU. There will be one $500 scholarship awarded.

Bernard Osher Scholarship

Established by the Bernard Osher Foundation and the Foundation for California Community Colleges, this scholarship will benefit students who are recipients of the College Promise. Osher Scholars will be able to receive $500 for one semester or a total of $1000 for two semesters.

Bill Cloon Memorial Scholarship in Kinesiology

This scholarship was established in memory of Bill Cloon, who had a career in law enforcement, and who also volunteered throughout his life as a coach and mentor in athletics.  It is in this spirit that this scholarship will be awarded to a student studying Kinesiology and wanting to continue in sports, either as a professional coach in any sport, or as volunteer, at any level, including children, teens or adults.  Female applicants are encouraged to apply.

Biology 3 Scholarship

This scholarship is offered by the LAVC Biology Department and will benefit students who have a received a minimum grade of “A” in Biology 3.

Earleen DeVivo Memorial Scholarship

The family and friends of Earleen DeVivo established this scholarship in her memory. Professor DeVivo was a member of the LAVC faculty and taught Psychology. This scholarship will be awarded to an outstanding academic student majoring in Psychology.

Monte Toole Memorial Scholarship in Engineering or Machine Shop

Alumnus Monte Toole and his family established this scholarship through the Toole Endowment. It will be awarded to students who have taken or are currently taking courses in engineering or machine shop at L.A. Valley College.
